Born in 1981 as a small trattoria overlooking the sea in Tricase Porto, Ristorante Bellavista was among the first businesses to give life to this fishing village. At a time when tourism was still a distant dream, Cosimino and his wife bet on this land, transforming a corner of paradise into a meeting place for those seeking the authentic taste of the sea.
With dedication and sacrifice, the restaurant grew, becoming a landmark for events and ceremonies in the 1980s, when few were involved in large-scale catering. In the kitchen and in the dining room, the work was a family affair: uncles, grandparents and grandchildren helped create genuine hospitality, made up of simple dishes but rich in history. Today, we proudly carry on this tradition, keeping alive the spirit with which it all began: a cuisine that speaks of the sea, home and passion, accompanied by a view that enchants.

For over forty years, we have remained faithful to Cosimino’s philosophy: the freshest raw materials, processed with respect and simplicity, to enhance the authentic flavors of Salento. The catch of the day still comes from the hands of local fishermen, the vegetables are those from the family garden, and the homemade orecchiette pasta preserves all the taste of tradition. And, as in the old days, at the end of the meal we fondly serve a small glass of myrtle, carefully picked and prepared in our garden. Alongside the cuisine, our wine list offers a curated selection of the best local and national labels, designed to accompany each dish with the perfect pairing.

Whether it’s a romantic dinner, an ocean-view lunch or a special event, at Bellavista you’ll always find the same old-fashioned hospitality, the kind that makes every meal a moment to remember.
